Locally grown Australian cotton that is fully traceable back to a Queensland farm: a collaboration between Ada Fibres and Full Circle Fibres, this range of cotton lace yarn has been ethically sourced with all available manufacturing processes done in Australia.
This fine lace- and laceweight cotton is heirloom quality; the fibres are grown for their length, fineness and strength. The long 32mm fibres have been combed, ring-spun, and plied, resulting in a dense yarn with abrasion resistance and little loft. The yarn is approximately 30% denser than other cotton yarns on the market.
The finish on this yarn shimmers, the light reflects off the long smooth fibres, yet it remains soft like unmercerised cotton.
This Australian cotton yarn is perfect for handweaving, delicate crochet and knitting pieces, lace making and stitching.
