Clemes and Clemes Small Fine-Fibre Hand Cards

Description

These hand carders are perfect for travellers or children. The carders have 120 points per square inch and are designed to card cotton or any of the finer fibres such as merino, como, angora or cashmere. The wooden backs are curved and measure 5 5/8″ x 3 5/8″.

Clemes and Clemes use a maple turned handle that provides a comfortable grip for both small and large hands. The handle is tenoned into an alder-wood back, either curved or flat, to ensure long life. The teeth are set in a strong yet flexible backing to provide many years of use. They regularly hear from customers who purchased their carders in the 1970’s and are still using them on a regular basis.

Fine fibre hand carders are also available in the traditional size measuring 10 1/2″ x 3 5/8″ with curved or flat backs. Most spinners preferring the curved back carders.
