Hand-spinner’s preparation: this Easy-to-Spin sliver is prepared with rare Sea Island cotton fibre. It is a long-staple, strong fibre with natural lustre & drape. This harvest of Sea Island cotton is the last crop from a retiring cotton farmer, who grew it specifically for the hand spinners. It is dye-free, earth-friendly, hand picked and prepared for hand spinning. It is exceptional fibre, a delight to spin.

Naturally-Coloured Cotton

This colour of this cotton comes from natural pigments in the fibre. This natural colour will deepen with washing. Simply wash the cotton in warm water in bleach-free detergent such as dishwashing detergent or wool wash to retain the colour. To deepen the colour further, wash or rinse in hot water for 30 minutes with 1 ½ tablespoons of ammonia to 1 litre. When the colour of the garment fades, wash it to restore its natural colour.
